Our Milestones
September 2019
LAUNCH OF OUR SUSTAINABILITY PROJECT
Our Board of Directors and management are explicitly committed to sustainability, which has always been in our Raiffeisen DNA. With our own sustainability strategy, we want to develop our bank into a showcase in the areas of environment, social affairs and governance. We want to generate added value for our stakeholders, with a lived conviction and corresponding measures.

FOUNDATION OF THE SUSTAINABILITY TEAM
Sustainability thrives on people who take responsibility. Our sustainability team is responsible for the concrete implementation of our sustainability strategy. We started with four young, motivated women. In the meantime, the team has grown and taken on new tasks.

FIRST SUSTAINABILITY REPORT
We have prepared our Sustainability Report for fiscal 2019 on a voluntary basis and in accordance with GvD 254/2016. It is based on the GRI criteria - the internationally recognized guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative - and has been audited by an independent auditing firm.
The format and colors are deliberately different from the bank's usual appearance.
The swallowtail on the cover is a butterfly native to South Tyrol. It is a symbol of a living creature that can only thrive in an overall healthy environment. The introductory images for the various themes are taken from a bird's eye view. We want to show that we always try to keep an overall view even with complex topics.
2021
SUSTAINABILITY LABEL OF RAIFFEISEN LANDESBANK SÜDTIROL
We have set ourselves the goal of making it clear to our customers which of the bank's products and initiatives also take sustainability aspects and ESG factors into account. With this in mind, we have created our own sustainability label to identify all our products and initiatives that incorporate sustainability.
November 2020
FIRST ISSUE OF A GREEN BOND FOR SMALL INVESTORS
We are currently very much confronted with the climate crisis. To counteract this, we issued the first Green Bond for retail investors in the amount of EUR 15 million in fiscal 2020, a milestone for the bank. This is a bond whose proceeds are exclusively dedicated to ecologically sustainable projects with a measurable positive effect on the environment.
April 2021
INTRODUCTION OF A SUSTAINABILITY INDEX FOR THE EARNINGS BONUS
The employee bonus is governed by the national collective agreement and the supplementary national agreement. Starting with the 2021 financial year, a sustainability index (ESG index) will be used for the first time as an additional company-related target. If we do not achieve our sustainability targets, this will lead to reductions in the earnings bonus.
