ESG PERFORMANCE BONUS
As an additional motivation for our employees, we introduced a sustainability index (ESG index) for the first time in 2021, which servesas a target for the performance bonus. The ESG index calculates the qualitative portion of the performance bonus provided for in the collective agreement.
The ESG index is based on the three ESG factors: environmental, social and governance, each with defineds indicators and corresponding ranges.Each indicator is assigned toa score of "1 = very sustainable", "2 = sustainable" or "3 = not sustainable", based on the range achieved. These indicator scores are then weighted and combined to create the ESG factor score. The three ESG factor scores are further weighted and combined to form the overall ESG index. If the bank achieves the result "1 = very sustainable" in the ESG index, it receives the entire part of the performance bonus reserved for meeting this qualitative target. However, if the bank only scores “3 = not sustainable”, this reserved amount will not be paid out.
This initiative aims to motivate us to work together as a bank and as a team towards the common goal of sustainability.
